Devil Ark - Giving hope to the endangered Tasmanian devil

Devil Ark is a Tasmanian devil breeding facility in the NSW Barrington Tops that is currently home to around 170 Tasmanian devils. Founder John Weigel, also owner of the Australian Reptile Park, built Devil Ark in 2010 to house large numbers of Tassie devils living in natural conditions.

Wow, that is a great idea, I know of the devils plight, such a terrible thing. I had heard of an island where healthy devils had been re-located which is working but not this. Very nice collage of a wonderful animal that hopefully a cure can be found for this very terrible disease!

@dianeburns they are gorgeous little animals - they don't think a cure is likely so they are breeding healthy devils to be reintroduced when they become extinct - it is very sad but hopefully will be a success

Great to hear someone is being proactive about a species about to become extinct. Very controversial subject.
