pissing down ( euphemism for too much rain )

We are experience absolutely horrid weather at the moment with way too much rain, gale force - even cyclonic - winds and it just won't desist! I am unimpressed to say the least. Thunder and lightening have been making appearances too.
Wandering out to the front verandah to see the garbage bin pushed three metres down the kerb I also noticed a hole in the guttering - makes for a lovely water image so all is not lost :)

While googling something else I also see it is Earth Day - http://www.earthday.org/
This I like. Very cool moist shot.

April 22nd, 2015
@tellefella I am hoping the lull at the moment is a sign it is easing - a lot of gushing water and drowned plants but ( touch wood ) no roof leaks or fallen trees.

You are doing better than us. Weve had no power since 5 pm yesterday. Still no power. We have had friends here for dinner tonight to use up the rapidly defrosting meals I had in the freezer. Cooked dinner on the camping stove by candlelight. Writing this on my phone. Hope we get power again soon but it could be days.

So much contained in a gush of water!! Seriously, we need some of that rain here in So Cal....historic droughts, and the occasional, wimpy rains are not cutting it!
