We were very excited to come across a little flock of Double Barred Finches in Darwin.
The double-barred finch is an estrildid finch found in dry savannah, tropical dry grassland and shrubland habitats in northern and eastern Australia.
The Double-barred Finch prefers dry grassy woodlands and scrublands, open forests and farmlands. It is never far from water.
