the beauty of banksia

Okay! Here begins my flash of red February. This beautiful banksia begged me to get underneath and look through the foliage to capture the shapes and textures. I had b&w in mind while composing it. The processing was in silver efex for the most part ( to the best of my memory ) and is pretty much how I pictured it.

This is gorgeous! It reminds me of an oriental screen that one of my friend's parents had in their home when I was a teen. It was a fav the moment I saw it!
