Cockle Bay by annied

Cockle Bay

This week it's Darling Harbour.

Cockle Bay is a small bay in inner-city Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the western edge of the Sydney central business district.

Cockle Bay is one of the bays in Darling Harbour, which opens into the much larger Sydney Harbour. The locality around the bay is also known as Darling Harbour. The bay is primarily known for Cockle Bay Wharf, a waterfront entertainment area designed by Eric Kuhne that includes a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, clubs, cafes and function venues.
Wonderful architecture

I like the juxtaposition of the giant buildings and the little boats.

It looks like a busy little bay. Bet there are no cockles left in that bay :)

It’s so cool to see the boats by the downtown skyline, this does look like a wonderful, busy place.

@annied fascinating challenge you set for me. How about an interpretation picture? Interpret the word "guilt."

@francoise oooh okay - I shall give it my best shot ?

Great to see the boats so close to the modern buildings.

Wow it's getting a tad crowded in that part of the world.

Are the people living in the area called 'darlings' by any chance? Looks like a posh area.

@golftragic not only in that part Marnie :(
@sangwann it is Sydney's Central Business District and a prime tourist destination - very expensive area

@annied I couldn't agree more Annie. Melbourne's bursting at the seams and spreading like a rampant cancer. Some of the 'overflow' and/or refugees from the stratospheric house prices have come down to Geelong region and are now buggering up the relatively quite and uncrowded lifestyle we had here. There's a whole bloody suburb of Pete Seeger-style 'little boxes' sprung up like mushrooms about 10-12 Km from our CBD and more coming. I don't do crowds and busy places!!!
