Mitchell Street

The main street of Darwin - bars, backpacker hostels and eateries abound.
Cars drive at 40km - people just wander across the road - quite a police presence both on foot and in cars - this was taken around 9am in the morning.

for some reason I always thought Darwin was a big city , just goes to show us poms don't know much about Oz :)

@phil_howcroft it is the capital city of the Northern Territory but the population is only around ....hmmm I think 130,000ish.....
