Wang Wang by annied

Wang Wang

May is going to be about Adelaide in my People and Places album - yes- I am behind - ha ha - what's new?
This week I will be posting photos from the Adelaide Zoo.
I remember seeing pandas at Taronga Zoo in 1988 and also remember how amazing it was to see them up close. They are the main reason for choosing to visit Adelaide Zoo over Monarto Zoo - didn't have time for both.

Wang Wang was born on 31 August 2005 at Woolong Giant Panda Research Centre, China and moved to Adelaide Zoo in November 2009.
Wang Wang and Fu Ni are part of the international Giant Panda research, conservation and breeding program designed to preserve this vulnerable species.

I like pandas too. However I wish they were whiter in real life like the photos we always see of them. When I saw them, I thought they were grey instead of white!
