"Buck with cigar"

May is going to be about Adelaide in my People and Places album - yes- I am behind - ha ha - what's new?
This week I will be posting photos from the Museum and Art Gallery.

Artist: Marc QUINN, Britain
Name of the piece: Buck with cigar, 2009

Quinn uses the ideals of beauty and bodily perfection promoted through the classical tradition to explore how people of bodily difference are viewed in contemporary society. Buck with cigar is a life-cast portrait of Buck, who began his life as a female. After years of detachment from his body and female identity, Buck began various sex change treatments.
So glad you put in the description, because I thought, "Isn't he missing something?" Would love to know how they were able to cast or put in Buck's tattoos.

I must say I thought the same as @dyanstevens! So they are making statues of these poor people now!
