Camellia 50mm by annied

Camellia 50mm

After coming across talk of the 50mm lens I went to my old SLR Nikon camera case (which I haven't looked in since I retrieved the old telephoto lens a year ago) and ''''''lo and behold''''' there sat a 50mm lens just waiting to be played with. Took it outside for a bit of a whirl....I'm going to need more whirling practice....the manual focus is challenging as my eyes are not what they used to be ( might look into an implant for my camera eye ) and today the breeze did not help...but I am looking forward to seeing what I can get out of it. This choice is the RAW version tweaked and twiddled in photoshop. Didn't notice the fly until I uploaded lol
P.S WORTH LOOKING AT LARGE :)

Wow you are getting really adventurous, I wouldn't have a clue how to achieve this great effect. Well done on rediscovering your 50mm lens too.

@paul2782 thanks Paul - will try live view - didn't even think of it as generally I don't like it because it slows things down and I find the view finder easier to frame
