bushwalk1 - lyrebird

Firstly, thank you for all your wonderful comments on my Autumn week posts - I am very sporadic in my commenting but do see many of your wonderful images.
This week my theme is bush walking - It was very exciting when the rustling in the undergrowth was this gorgeous male superb lyrebird - they can be quite elusive. He did have his own personal space that if I entered off he would run, tail all fluffed. I didn't have my zoom lens so was trying to quietly get closer - after watching him on and off for quite some time I realised he wasn't too fussed with the noise as long as I kept that distance. Next time I go I will make sure I have my zoom.

Wow, well spotted, they aren't easy to photograph or even spot in the wild.

@onewing it was an area that people frequent so I think he is semi used to it - it was amusing that he seemed to have this almost exact personal space bubble each of the times I edged closer hahahaha
