bushwalk5 - curious

This week my theme is bush walking.
The mass of alien like pod thingees is what attracted my attention - the tree looked dead - but on uploading it looks like there a buds behind - I am not sure now if it is part of the same tree or another right near it - I shall have to return and investigate further.
