Locomotive Steam 5910

Locomotive 5910 is a two-cylinder, simple, non-condensing, superheated, oil-fired, 2-8-2 ‘Mikado' steam locomotive.
Locomotive 5910 was built by the Baldwin Lima-Hamilton Corporation in 1952 - it was one of a class of 20 imported oil-fired locomotives ordered to ease the critical shortage of motive power after the Second World War. It entered service on the NSWGR in late 1952.
