Lovely. Great composition on the thirds line and the arms make a perfect diagonal leading into the scene. Are they stationary or did you have to wait for them to move into the right position?
Hello Annie, what a wonderful windmill. It looks like nice weather up there - we are off tomorrow morning for 3 days in The Ryebeck Hotel at Bowness, Windermere - I hope that the weather stays sunny. Could get some nice pics of the lake maybe?
@jon_lip there are a couple of good viewpoints: Orrest Head; Robin Lane above Troutbeck; Loughrigg above Ambleside; Gummers Howe towards the Newby Bridge end. Classic shot to my mind is one with the Langdale Pikes at the end - you could try Brockhole shore. Good luck!
@anniesue Thanks Annie. Unfortunately, we were not up there long enough to see from many viewpoints and there were SO many people there (half term). However, we did manage a stroll along Windermere and a trip to Ambleside and Rydal where we also visited Wordsworth's house and garden. We stopped at Sizbergh (I think that's how it's spelt) and took a long walk around the grounds. All in all a very nice 3 days.
