@chrisiow thanks! we did go to the Tower after - and peeped into the ballroom - but the highlight there was not so much the glass floor, but the glass wall - quite disconcerting!
@seacreature I accompanied a friend (as you know) - wouldn't have thought of it myself - but I would encourage anybody with the least inclination to give it a go!
