there are loads of different versions - have become a bit more observant as I follow a gardener on Twitter, who's very interested.

The season is definitely advancing - colour from dwarf irises, chaenomeles, Edgeworthia, witch hazel, hellebore, daff (just), crocus, aconite, azalea, cyclamen, skimmia, daphne, anemone ...
