sea level workington

this has made me quite happy!

Don't normally look at sea levels - only the random [not random] fluctuations of the river - so to see this rhythmic undulation is soothing :-)

And you'd be wrong to think all tide gauges have the same pattern (I was!).
I use tide tables mostly to check good time to spot "our" kingfishers ( they like to feed 2 hours either side of low tide!)

@anniesue actual, physical research!!! We see them more often around low tide, so sort of guessed!!!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Wow that's fascinating to know. Obviously it is different in SA - but then perhaps not? So maybe I should start finding out more here too
