It was so hot for little doggy in his fur coat - So it was time for another trim ! and so like Maggiemae the tools came out I have always had wire haired dogs & so always trim them myself --it is much less stressful for the dog ,than going to a stranger for the procedure & cheaper & satisfying for me Alfie as a client can be very good -at other times a real awkward customer !! Yesterday he was very good , but got fed up before I came to his fore legs !! As you can see a little further trim & shaping is needed on his legs !! He should appreciate the cooler look & feel than been donned in a heavy fur coat in this weather !
Yes, no stripping! Don't care about showing the dog! My wee sweetie was so patient went I picked up the scissors but after a while she would give a wriggle and I would continue it later! Expect it is the same here but what a good result!
Thanks Maggiemae --- definitely a lot of wriggles , ,a run out through the pet flap then back for another go !! Afraid stripping has gone by the books !! too painful with the athritic hands ( & that-s just me !! )
Aw, bless him. Hope he appreciates your efforts to help him feel cooler. He has a look of resignation there, perhaps he knows that his legs are next! Lovely shot of him. Give him a stroke from me please.
I'm sure Alfie benefits from the trim but he doesn't look too impressed to be smart and handsome! I gave Jinks only a very small trim yesterday because he was so fed up he kept growling at me!!
Nice job and I really like your framing. I have a friend who just had her dog done by a lady that comes to your house with her van and does everything right there in the van. No other dogs to frighten your dog.
@sturnus Aaw thank you Carol , he was not very impressed or appreciative at the time !! and , he certainly didn't want his legs done !! @quietpurplehaze Hazel if only they understood -its for their own benefit !! @carolmw I wish I could say yes !! but at the time he soon gets fed up of standing still ,hence the job takes twice as long !! --if only he realized it !! @sailingmusic Myrna ,I have always stripped & trimmed my dogs myself --but sometimes I wish I could trust him to someone else !!
