This is beautiful, but geraniums don't like the rain do they? Our garden is still very damp for the torrential rain we had on Monday. The rain came about 8 this evening.
@busylady Thank you Judith Geraniums are quite tolerant of a ll conditions but the white flowers tend to turn brown very quickly I think we must had the rain at a similar time --we so desperately need it the garden is like dust !
@lucypics Thank you Lucy --they have done exceptionally well this year with very little attendance @digitalrn Thank you Rick @quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel They are quite tolerant of al weather but like it dry i always have a bed of them in a dry part of the garden that I find difficult to water & they don;t mind !!
It has been such a joy to be able to enjoy the garden this year with all that lovely weather, sad the rain is here but everything is gagging for it, super shot of your lovely flowers.
@purplehaze12 Yes Hazel we also had steady down pour all night --a much needed soaking for the gardens Fortunately when my late husband built our garden pond he incorporated an overflow pipe so we do not have overflowing problems ..The flowers have survived majestically --some of the geraniums needed dead heading- the white ones that were past their best were turning brown - as I predicted !! Today is hot but somewhat fresher !! Have a nice day !!
@paul2782 Thank you Paul for your encouraging & kind words --I am glad to say that in spite of the heavy rain last night they have survived wonderfully --some of the older blooms looked worse for wear which I have removed & they look extremely fresh after the rain !
@maggiemae Thank you MaggieMae they have been good this year -- they were nice plug plants when I bought them & I did add fertilizer to the existing compost in the containers as I didn't manage to go to buy bags of fresh compost this year !! They must have approved of the treatment !!
@gerry Thank you Gerry for the comment& fav
