Last night for tea I decided it was time for a Chilli & rice As I am not a fan of all these packets & jars that contain so many additives this was made from scratch ! I always like to serve my Chilli-con-carne and rice with a nice dollop of Greek yoghurt and diced cucumber -- a nice accompaniment to cool the effect of the chilli !
Looks gorgeous! I'm like @carolmw as I like chilli but Mr W hates it and everything spicy, so chilli con carne is out in this household. So I'm enjoying your image vicariously. Great shot!
This looks delicious Beryl, we love chilli in this house. I always make a huge batch with the intention of freezing some but it never seems to last long enough. Have you tried the Jamie Oliver version with chick peas, cumin and cinnamon? It makes a change sometimes but I tend to put in a bit less of those two spices as they can be a bit overpowering, also less water than he says too!
