Oh ! Christmas tree , Oh ! Christmas tree ---- by beryl

Oh ! Christmas tree , Oh ! Christmas tree ----

This one was at the Garden Centre -- It did look good ion a topsy , turvy sort of way !!
I would love a fresh tree just for the pine smell !! but the work involved with all the pine needles dropping has definitely put me off the idea , Hence I have purchased a pre-lit slim-line tree so I do not even have the struggle of hanging up the lights on it ! It's still in it's box hopefully we will put it up today - the decorations have come down from the attic . I really feel I must get myself sorted as things seem to take longer to do these days !!

That sounds like a good idea to me, a pre-lit tree. but having said that I don't put one up anyway, I just get the boxes down from the attic and my other half puts it all together, she loves doing it. Nice shot Beryl.

A super capture. I think that many of the Garden Centres put on such great Christmas displays.

Sounds like a good idea. Love this unusual idea for a tree location. I assume you are not hanging yours from the ceiling though?

Trying to tip my iPad upside down but it won't have it! Great space saving idea! Nice shot

Those slim trees are so good ....the ordinary ones do take up lots of room.
this is an upside down tree Beryl!! Look forward to seeing your tree !

Lovely shot a great space saver. I started doing our tree today. I know what you mean about things taking longer to do - got the lights on and tree in situ then had to go and help at a kids concert this afternoon, put some of the decorations on and had to make and eat dinner. Fell asleep in chair, woke up to upload 365… oh well there's a another day tomorrow!

@hillymay OH ! Hilary I know !! My tree is still not up !! let alone decorated !! Morning spent tatting around ., had lunch , went shopping , came home in agony , took painkillers , sat down , put stamps on the written Xmas Cards , fell asleep in the chair , woke up , made tea exhausted , watched TV & now on 365!! Thanks for the comment !!

@ivan Good advice Ivan The whole of our Christmas this year will be low key & simple -- as long as I can produce a traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings just for us I will be very contented .

Great capture Beryl. What a good space saving idea, but where do the presents go ? :) The offspring put our tree up and decorate it...everything has to go on so it looks homely rather than co-ordinated!

@malc I had hoped our pre-lit tree was up yesterday but I got out of puff (too painful) before the deed was done so hopefully today is the day !! All of our baubbles since year dot go on ,but all in red & gold !! Gary will help me when he surfaces !!!

Like a lovely chandelier Beryl. We haven't even bought our tree yet but hope to pay a visit to the Christmas tree farm this weekend. This has been a tradition in our house for many years and we all go together usually but this year it was impossible to find a day when everyone was home! Hope to have it up and decorated on Saturday though!!
