On Gary's birthday we went out for lunch to a fairly new restaurant/pub
Lovely meals but one or two problems I asked for a salad instead of the cooked vegetables with my salmon in sweet chilli sauce -- it came minus the new potatoes --I pointed this out and immediately a dish with the potatoes were brought to me . Had my bill and found that the potatoes were charged as extras ! Pointed out that they should be part of the meal the manageress was called and agreed with me --hence the extra price was deducted from the bill . I had a voucher for a free drink with the meal and so produced this --the waitress was not familiar of the process on the till ! hence entered the voucher number and immediately lost it and could not find a way to deduct the price of the drink from the meal total !!!! and suggested I should pay for it as she didn't know what to do Normally I would have grudgingly have said OK -- but as I was already riled !!!!! I was not going to let it go -- and suggested she got the manageress once again to sort it out ! Which she finally did and again the problem was resolved . I did make light of it (through clenched teeth !!) and suggested that it was a learning curve for the waitress !! But no tip was left I am afraid !!
The food looks great in your super birthday capture. Very annoying when you know you are right and they are wrong but great that it was resolved in the end. Happy belated birthday greetings Gary.
The older I get the more I stuck up for my rights! I used not dare say boo to a goose but age gives you courage! Happy birthday to Gary!

Blooming cheek! We all make mistakes and we all have to learn but sounds like she needs a few hints on how to deal with customers! Looks very tasty - happy birthday Gary.
Its aggravating when this happens and often there is more than one hiccup. Sounds like this worker wasn't properly trained. However what you have there on the table looks pretty good!
WOW...sometimes those goof ups come in bunches don't they. You were good to keep your cool, but what a disappointment. Except that it makes a great story for your photo. Happy Birthday to Gary!

Glad you got it sorted but not too good for a birthday lunch having all that hassle. I too stick to my guns to get things right now I think it comes with maturity!!
