At least the water-lilies are enjoying the heat and sunshine , with their roots soaking up the water in my garden pond . The little fly is admiring their beauty and no doubt enjoying the sweetness of the nectar . ( Best viewed on black if you have the time )
Same old story -- another hot day ! I am getting very lazy in this heat !! Just been out doing a little shopping -- now ready for 40 winks ! So glad I do not have to go out to work !!
So pretty & very precise shapes. Do you remember years ago it was a new thing to cut tomatoes in a zig zaggy way like this, supposed to be the height of sophistication I think, we thought it was so clever!
@happypat Ooh Pat I do remember them well -- In the early 70s when teaching Home Ec - I used to teach year 7 pupils this when preparing a salad for their manual dexterity / hand eye coordination !! They so loved to take home their fancy salad ( wrapped in cling film ! )
