You forgot to put stamps on the rain you were sending me, so the post office never put it on the truck. Ha. Just learned today this September has been the hottest and dryest on record. They’ve been keeping records for 120 years. So I’m quite jealous of your wet Woodpigeons!

This really sums up the misery of last few days! All the birds are looking a bit bedraggled!

I like this shot, and Focus point. Pesky pigeons!! They don't half excrete large amounts. They sit on the apex of my roof with their posteriors over my drive and white car. They must sometimes let it go just before landing, either that or they propel it once settled. At least this rain helps prevent it from setting like concrete.

@gamelee - Ha ha - you do make me laugh Lee !! but at the same time empathise with you - they are not the cleanest of birds are they !! I think they are the only bird that will poo on the bird-table - other species will hang their butts over the edge before dropping it !! !
