Such a brightly coloured visitor - there are two little goldfinch visiting daily for their breakfast , and give a splash of colour at the feeders ! I didn't notice the dull little sparrow sitting in the branches till I downloaded the shot ! ( best viewed on black )
A dull damp November day - but looking forward to our Sunday lunch of roast beef , Yorkshire pudding , roasties and veg followed by bread and butter pudding .
Fantastic photo Beryl....full of interest & how that little sparrow is out done by the more colourful gold finch....I like sparrows...such busy little birds!
Great to have some new visitors and get a lovely capture. I have noticed a few more birds in the garden this week but no sign of my blackbird yet Iam hoping to see him soon.
@wendyfrost - I have two males and one female blackbirds here daily - they have stripped most of the berries off the pyracanths by now ! - love to see them !
I’ve never seen that kind of Goldfinch. Just looked it up online and see it is a European Goldfinch. The ones we have here are all yellow bodies with black in the top of their heads and on their wings. Well, I learned something new!
