A morning visitor. by beryl

A morning visitor.

I do not often see a Starling visiting the garden , but he was on his own which is unusual to see ! - perhaps I had missed the rest of his mates!
Nice capture

He must be a loner or completely lost. But thanks to him you got this lovely capture of a starling.

Handsome fellow. They do seem to come in groups don’t they? Maybe he was just a lagger who found something especially tasty and lingered a bit to finish up.

Nice capture they have lovely colours in their feathers when the sunlight catches them but otherwise a little bit too greedy at the bird table.

Super capture, he’s a beauty!

Unusual to see one Beryl! The sun on his feathers shows up those markings beautifully. Where there’s one there are more…usually!! We have noisy squawky magpies around…so noisy to listen to.

Twice a year they come and pay us a visit. Often a swarm of them.

A great close-up, Beryl, to capture his iridescent feathers in the sunlight! It is a puzzle why he is alone. Maybe more will appear. Fav

They usually make a lot of noise when I groups! I always think of them as the hooligans of the bird world! 😂Nice capture!

We don't see starlings here where I live but I have seen them in the city. Maybe this one is on his holidays.

Starlings are always in a flock but act separately! Their beak here looks oddly like the beak of our native Tui!

Pretty feathers. So many different starlings across the globe.

The lighting really brings out its colors. The starlings here like to make nests in our chimney. It is strange to see one alone.

I’m sure it’s very welcome. Nice shot.
