Day 272 - I’ve not seen a bird this colour before and I’m not sure what it is, someone suggested it could be a juvenile pheasant, I’m hoping some knowledgable person will come along with the answer!
It certainly is a pheasant - he looks a little scruffy , having looked in my bird book - it may be a young male ring necked pheasant - the only one I can find with this rich chestnut colour and a white head !
