The House the Architect Did Not Build

This is the Cecil Burgess Residence located in the University area of Edmonton. Cecil Burgess was the Chief Architect for the Univeristy of Alberta from 1911-1940.We have him to thank for the majority of the buildings on campus today.
Although he was The Grandfather of Arcitecture in Edmonton he did not design this house. It was built in 1898 for a scottish mason Thoms McKay. Burgess however did live here while in the employment of the U of A. It remains a private residence to this day and is part of the Historic Registries List of Buildings in Edmonton
Great story about this house! Beautiful
