So I decided I would do something a little different with this series I have been doing. Last April we took a trip to Winnipeg and while out walking through the downtown area there I found a few old signs that I took pictures of and so I thought I would share these.
This particular one is special because my Father-in-Law worked for Silverwood Daries shortly after he arrived in Canada from Amsterdam. He worked for them in Calgary but I figured this would still be nice to take a picture of.
So it is nice that Friday has finally arrived and I hope you all have a great weekend
That is a really interesting sign. I haven't been to Wpg for a couple of years. If I get back there I must look at some of the buildings and not just the legislature with The Golden Boy on top!
My husband worked for a firm out of Winnipeg back in the late 1990's. He traveled there about 4x/year. I went in November 1999 for their Christmas party. I really loved many things about it. Was "unseasonably warm" but very, very cold for me! We still keep in touch with a few people there. Very friendly.
