First let me update everyone on my brother. He had his surgery today and it was successful. He will be in the hospital for a few more days. Thank you all for your prayers for him. You just never know what you will come across while out driving. On Saturday I specifically went for a drive down Groat Road on the way to the south side in order to get a picture of this bridge.
The Carruthers Steel Bridge has spanned the Groat Ravine now for just over 100 years and starting on July 1 the city will begin the job of demolishing this bridge and replacing it with a new one.
As we were approaching the bridge I noticed the words that some one had taken the time to write. I suppose they felt it was a message that needed to be spread so there it is In case you are wondering I did not take this while driving. Melody did the honors on this one
@olivetreeann What we will ever do. Ann I edited this shot after you commented so I thought I would let you know that my brother had his surgery and it was successful. Thanks for you prayers for him
Your Exif data didn't include MPH ? Remember, don't text and drive! Shooting and driving is OK because they don't have any bumperstickers against that. Heard Alberta is considering it though.... nice shot.
Glad to hear your brother is doing well! Nice bridge shot. Does eating veg give people a head for heights so they can climb up and post messages like this?
You managed to get a shot of history before it's destroyed. Perhaps the message is that if you eat your veggies, you too will last for 100 years (said she, having just stuffed her face with a delicious vegan cupcake, richly frosted). I'm so glad your brother's surgery was a success, may his recovery be fast!
Great shot from the road and the "eat your veggies" is a much nicer graffiti message than we see around Cincinnati! So glad to hear that your brother is on the road to recovery, too.
