The Princess by bkbinthecity

The Princess

So back in early Febuary I posted a picture of the fireplace in our home an many of you commented on the picture we have above it. This is the same theatre in that print.
It is the Princess Theatre which was built in 1915 and is one of two single screen movie theatres we still have in the city today.
Have a great week everyone
I love old buildings! The theater has lots of character! Great capture!

This whole street looks like it has some history. Like the doors on the theater.

Oh my! I haven't seen one of these old time movie theatres since my younger days. This is a classic and a great shot. I so much better liked watching movies in this kind of theatre, when they had ushers and the popcorn was cheap and there were no distractions. I won't even go to movies any more. I prefer to watch at home.

We have an old movie theater in East Stroudsburg too. They play independent films there and artsy films. I've never been in it, but I would imagine the two would be very similar.
