Squatters Rights by bkbinthecity

Squatters Rights

For the past couple of weeks at work we had a two pigeons flying in and out of our outdoor storage space a work. They were creating quite a mess and so we had come up with a plan to deal with them until.....
Yesterday morning I discovered a nest they had built in one of the mail containers and there is one egg in the nest.
So we had a bit of a predicament.
We have chosen to let them stay but we did have to move the container with the nest in it. I was not sure how they would react to that but the good news is they have stayed around to look after the egg in the nest.
The top picture shows the mother in the container just peeking out the top. The bottom picture is her partner when he showed up to make sure everything was okay.
So it will be interesting to watch it all unfold. I will do my best to keep you all updated when I can
Awesome picture.

Well done! We once stayed in a hotel where pigeons built their nest on the narrowest of window ledges ,quite high up. Always wondered how that went.

Well, it sounds like you've all just become aunts and uncles! How nice that you've found a compromise and hopefully after the little one is born and flying on his/her own, you'll be able to convince Mama and Papa to choose another location for the next brood!
