O Canada 4

Day four on my series Things Canada is known for. Today is hockey. Ice hockey is Canada's official sport for winter. This is Roger's Place Arena home of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League which is a junior league. If you have just joined this series l would love to know what you think of when you think of Canada. Today's post is for Amy K @amyk Leslie @lesip eDorre @edorreandresen all of who mentioned hockey
Beautiful place and looks very modern. Must be great to be in there and watch the game.

I like the design of that building. We had a pastor/friend when our sons were growing up who played professional hockey in Canada- he was near Quebec. I forget which team he played on- MIGHT have been the Maple Leafs- not sure- my memory fails me.
January 5th, 2023
Great pov!
January 5th, 2023
An enormous arena. I like the light glowing on the patterned glass
January 5th, 2023

I love that building. I have to say that I do think of hockey when I think of Canada. The mountains in Vancouver are amazing. I think Canada's side of the Niagara Falls is much prettier then the United States side.

@lesip Leslie the city uses a combination of salt and sand when dealing with icy road conditions. The negative side is when it starts to melt the roads are dirty and slushy
