Nature is an amazing thing and with summer well and truly here (in England at least) I've been overwhelmed with the fantastic nature shots that have been coming in to 365 Project on a daily basis.

In fact I've been so impressed that I went out and purchased an extension tube and have been attempting to take some Macro nature shots of my own.

Today I'd like to highlight for you some of my favourite nature shots on 365 Project. Some of the shots are old, some are new, all are excellent. Thanks to everyone who uploads these photos and continue to inspire us all!

For anyone looking for tips on how to take Macro nature shots I'll be doing a post on it in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

Thank you so much for including me! I'm honored to be among such great macro shots! I do LOVE my macro lens and I use it quite a bit in the summer.

I'm at work right now but I'll come back later and share some that I think are awesome.

All of these are amazing and beautiful. The gerber daisy and lady bug really stand out for me.
I love nature and macro shots! I too am wanting a macro lens big time but for now the macro setting and a macro filter will have to do.
Here is my favorite macro shot that I have posted on 365:

Jaydee, you don't need a macro lens to take macro shots. My shot was taken with my Canon 55-250mm telephoto lens!
This lens to be specific -> http://www.amazon.com/Canon-55-250mm-4-0-5-6-Telephoto-Digital/dp/B0011NVMO8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277817281&sr=8-1

I just got really really close to the subject to make it look like a macro!

I used a set of cheap macro filters before I got my actual macro lens.

You can pick up a cheap set on eBay and they work great!

Here are some examples of photos I took with my filters. I only paid $7.99 for my filters and used them for about a year before I got my lens.

These are awesome! I love macro photos, but really struggle with them, so looking forward to some tips and hints!

Although, I don't have a DSLR, only a digi camera, so I wonder whether this contributes to some of the difficulties I have in getting the right focus etc?

These are some of my favourite, all done with the super macro setting found on my canon powershot.... nothing amazing but im pretty proud of them

WOW I am so stoked to have one of my pictures in this blog...never ever thought I would/could make it against all the other 365'ers.....very excited, you have made my day :-) Mine is the Black and White dandelion shot and I have a basic point and shoot camera with a hidden setting for macro so all the above people wising, wanting special lenses etc...not necessary really although I understand you get awesome photos of other things with your high tech camera's. My daughter just bought an Olympus T-100 for AUS $124 and it takes awesome macro shots too. Again THANK YOU so much I feel so honored and elated!!!! (easy to please I guess)

I just discovered the macro setting on my Kodak Easy Share. I really hope that I can do half as good as all these shots posted here. I still don't know how you get so close to the objects. I'm in awe of all the photos. Both posted and shared by comments. Great pics all around. Very stunning.

I've just started doing macro as well.
I'll have to show some later.

Six of these show a broken icon, and when I click to see the original I get the message that the page can't be found. What's up with that? The ones that I can see are beautiful. I especially like the distinctiveness of the robin in the snow.

I think those people no longer have active accounts. Once your account is deleted, all the pics disappear.

@Scrivna - For some reason I can't see 9 of the photos you posted Ross.
