Great name for an offy. They obviously do coffee and all sorts too. Evening walk to take back wrong sized duvet cover and pick up fish and chips.
Another very cold day. The frost had actually done its pattern thing on Dave's car, that's actually quite rare. Stayed cosy by the radiator, trying not to fret. Vague feelings of unease through the morning. Worked solidly on the interview and test preparation. All done and invites sent out by the time I finished.
Took a lateral flow at lunchtime as F was joining us for fish and chips. He arrived just before 5. We chatted about his rather stalkery co-student and ate nibbles with the odd non-prosecco Italian bubbly. Had an odd set-to with Dave about me donating some money to a musician, he didn't agree they were in need. I stormed out of the house to exchange the duvet cover and pick up fish and chips. A good longish brisk walk.
All sorted as these things are when I got back so we ate peaceably and there were so many chips that F (godson) had a few. Managed to squeeze in a bit of my sister's amazing gingery whiskyish Christmas cake and cheese too. Stuffed and tired we all retired ridiculously early.
Good news from R and C - it is glandular fever, a nuisance but nothing sinister.
I love your no holds barred revelations……the same niggles & fractions through life we all have but sometimes we pretend we don’t! 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Looks a great shop to have nearby when we need a drink or two!!
