I split a log into 4 pieces then used a 1 1/2 inch hole drill , then the grocery store usually has beef suet (ask the meat cutter) and hammer it into the holes , I use a bike hanging hook screwed into the top of log ,Hang from a branch and enjot the woodpeckers ,Nuthatches ,and others who love suet !!!
@brillomick thanks. When spring comes around and it is warm enough to be outside I might have to try this so I can try and get some cool shots. Thanks for sharing!
