St John's College, Cambridge by busylady

St John's College, Cambridge

This shows part of St John's college on a very wet day in Cambridge. It was founded in 1511 by Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of King Henry V!!. We had friends visiting so spent part of our wet weekend admiring the colleges and visiting the Fitzwilliam museum.
Thanks to all for your comments lately, and especially those who are keeping up with my pics from Japan. (They date from April 11th and I'm still catching up!)
Good pic, well framed

I love architecture, particularly buildings with so much history. You are lucky to live amongst so much of it.

One good thing about rain - it brngs out the colour of the stonework very nicely.

It certainly looks very wet, poor you when you have visitors to stay, if you're anything like me, I start to feel responsible for the bad weather! A great building!
