Time Travellers in Great Gransden

We were treated to a marvellous history lesson in the pretty village of Great Gransden this evening. The main picture shows the Crown and Cushion pub where we went afterwards for a meal, but the history lesson began in the village hall and progressed around the village to various houses significant to the history of the village. We sat in the gardens of the Almshouses, The manor house, the church and the school where short plays were re-enacted by local people. The acting and costumes were very professional and the whole performance was very entertaining. It was timed to coincide with the year of the Queen's diamond jubilee, and if you're in this area, it will be played again on Sunday 15th at 2pm and 5.30pm. Well worth a visit.
Looks like a nice pub.

This is a great pub who have great rock bands on a Thursday night. I haven't been there for ages but used to go regularly when I lived and worked at Papworth Hospital. We used to get a taxi over so that nobody would have to drink and drive! Happy Days
