The February challenge returns to 'a household object' for a few days so I've chosen this picture of the wood-stove in my daughter's house in Sheffield. She found this old black painted stove in her house when she moved in 5 years ago, and we thought at first it was just an ornament. However, we discovered a chimney - all sealed up and set about preparing it for use. She cleaned off all the black paint and discovered a pleasant green enamel underneath - and it worked! It will take either wood or solid fuel, lights really easily and gives off a good heat.
Thanks for all your encouragement with my attempts at black and white photography. I'll probably revert to colour for a few days as the weather up in Sheffield was bright and sunny. It seems a shame not to be able to share some of the photos I took there. You know how it is - sometimes you can't find one decent photo and other times you have so many you don't know where to start!
Three good things -
1)Time spent with a lovely daughter
2) Sparkling weather
3) Discovering new places to visit
That was a great find for her
