I've decided that some of the pictures I took over the last three days are just too pretty to post in b&w, so I'm abandoning the project for now. I've boosted the colours on this one as it really highlights the effect of the sun against the dark sky. We were amused by the antics of the sheep just before I took this picture as they came running and bleating from all around, and crossed the path to where the farmer had just laid a trail of food. It was hilarious. I just wish I had more than one album so I could share some more pictures with you! This was taken on a walk around the Chatsworth estate.
Oh wow - good call on abandoning the B&W. Spectacular. I watched a bit of that series about Chatsworth - fascinating and a joy and a burden to the owners I expect - comes with a lot of responsibility.
@mejbronant I agree - it does look more like Autumn. Lots of the oak trees have kept their leaves this year, perhaps because of the excess water in the ground.
I am so glad to abandoned the b/w, this is stunning and a fave. I have seen other shots in b/w and would love to see them in colour. Why don't you get an ACE membership and get 2 more albums, it is so worth it.
