Fire escape! by busylady

Fire escape!

We had a lot of hedge trimmings, perennial weeds and other debris to burn on the allotment, so Peter got the fire going - it's a man thing! At one point the fire was doing so well it escaped so we decided to call this one the 'fire escape'. This is down at the bottom end where all the rubbish is collected.
Like it!!! It's very therapeutic getting rid of rubbish like this! I may have a go at the weekend if the weather is ok!

Your flames are well away & there is something about a fire that men love I agree...they like prodding it don't they? Your flames show up beautifully!

@taffy Yes I was worried about it spreading, but the pile on the left was probably too damp to do any damage. Anyway, I wasn't in charge!

You need a shredder and a compost bin!

I didn't think you were allowed to light fires now! However, I think they are great and this is a lovely shot of the smoke and flames.

A great capture of your garden chores.

@fueast I have a compost bin but not a shredder. Trouble is I can't compost perennial weeds.
