This is another of the gardens I visited yesterday. This one featured a number of unusual 'sculptures'. This lady was called Arabella (I think!) and she is a fabric sculpture. The arms look like they're made of bandages and the clothing looks a bit like dish cloths! The folly in the corner was built by the owner who went on a brick-laying course to learn the necessary skills. You may be able to see a lady sitting perched on the window ledge - she had to be specially commissioned to fit the window. It was actually an amazing garden and this picture doesn't really do it justice. By the way I did ask all the owners if it was OK to photograph their gardens.
3 good things
The sun came out, finally - and it was WARM!
Getting ready to go away to Norway on Thursday
Picked the first strawberries today!
So glad it warmed up! This is a wonderful image!! I love that sculpture, odd though it seems to be in terms of what it is made from. Her angle and sense of being about to move or maybe in motion is terrific. She looks to be leaning in to look more closely at something. And I love the hair details!
Rather a quirky sculpture looking out to a more serene Folly in the corner ! Would love to see it for myself You seem to have viewed lovely gardens recently !
