We think my 'field of barley' posted on Wednesday was actually a 'set aside' field. It had only sparse amounts of barley mixed with small maize shoots. Presumably these had been left behind from previous crops. It all looked very pretty though and thanks for all your comments and favs!
Really, I thought there looked like lots of barley…..set aside, I could never understand the reason for reducing the number if crops! It has long been discontinued thank goodness as we need all the food we can get these days!
