@peterdegraaff the immediate are around the mountain still is, the area leading up to there has started to disappear in the regrowth. But that is coming up the Toutle River (west) side of the mountain, where at least there is a sign that marks your entry into the blast zone. The northeast entrance to the Blast Zone was more dramatic as you went from forest to nothing, but that has changed, no doubt (many years have past since I was on that side of the mountain).
