Detail from the hull of an old 1930 rum runner called MV Fleetwood. It is in a serious state of disrepair now but in its heyday, powered by two 450 hp Liberty gas aircraft engines and a third diesel engine, achieved a speed of 40 knots - more than enough to outrun the American coast guard.
@bkbinthecity Hi Brian. I see you’ve been with the project for 10 years. Impressive, that’s quite a commitment. I haven’t even been here a month yet and already I’ve had a couple of close calls. I’m determined not to miss a day, at least for the first year. I have to say, so far it’s been a lot of fun. I wake up every morning and my first thought is “what am I going to shoot today?” Some days I have a plan, other days I see what happens. It certainly gets the creative juices flowing. I look forward to getting involved with the group and meeting more members.
