I struggled with this one. Normally, I know at the time of capture that I’m going for a black and white edit but this one I thought would be colour all the way. However, when I got it into the computer it just wasn’t working for me. The light wasn't right and nothing I did was working. So I tried a black and white conversion and it’s better but still not great. But it’s all I’ve got for today so here it is.
When you said you lived in Richmond BC I thought it sounded familiar so I looked it up and sure enough, it was familiar. My son and family lived right on the water at Semiahmoo, WA and their house looked directly across Semiahmoo Bay towards Richmond. White Rock was closer and off to the right a bit. We spent a couple of weeks with them there in Christmas 2017.
@terryliv Thanks Terry. Semiahmoo is indeed very close but looking across the bay you would actually see Delta. Richmond is a little further north across the south arm of the Fraser River. Did you cross the border into Canada during your stay?
@cdcook48 Yeah Chris. Apart from the fact that we flew in and out of Vancouver, we spent the week of Christmas up at Big White which I am sure you are familiar with. It was our first and only authentic "White Christmas".
Before that, in 2014, we did a Canada-Alaska tour that started in Victoria and ended in Vancouver. Had 3 nights in Victoria which we loved and 2 nights in Vancouver as well as all the usual tourist locations of Kamloops (yuk) Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff (fabulous), Sun City and Whistler. It was a great trip.
@terryliv You have seen quite a bit of BC.(and Alberta) I’m not sure I would have put Kamloops on list of “must see” but all the other locations deserve a “fav”. I’ve skied at Whistler many times but never Big White. The Alaska cruise is stunning and Victoria is one of absolute favourite cities. My wife and I are planning a trip to the Rockies later this year. It’s many years since we have been.
