This is the more modern part of the prison. It looks just as it does in films. But, the reality is three floors, with rows of cells. Each small with two inmates. Little or no rehabilitation and a minimum of exercise in a concrete yard. No view of the outside world due to high walls and fences. Chilling!
Just identical to most of the old prisons over here - they brought their designs and processes with them when they colonized here.... All quite confronting to see and read about. Your images show it so well.
