This tree is in front of our bedroom verandah; it’s growing really large, so much so that it dwarfs the other plants and trees around it. It’s much higher than the banana and mango trees in its vicinity, and banana trees are pretty tall. The top of a banana leaf can be seen sticking out at the bottom centre-left of the frame. We may have to start thinking about curbing its zesty growth enthusiasm a bit.
It’s so beautiful, though - I really love its fan shape and watching the trickle of water seeping down the middle of the heart of the tree (the dark brown stripe running down the centre of the brown area). It’s quite magical.
