Half a Church

This is what remains of St. Nicholas Church in Whitehaven. A Church has stood here since 1642 but unfortunately in 1971 a fire destroyed most of the building. Mildred Warner Gale, the Grandmother of George Washington, is buried in the grounds of the Church.
