Cook

Gulls have squatters rights on Captain James Cook's monument in Whitby. This statue stands in pride of place on the headland overlooking Whitby harbour. Taken yesterday in the gloom of the afternoon, the sun decided to stay behind the clouds and the wind chill was bitter with temps of 6c.
Nice on black

Thank you for all your comments and favs all are most welcome and appreciated.

In the old days, the bird would have been driven off with musketry. Like the humour in this.

Poor old Cook. A great image to show us - and lovely subtle sky colours.
