Christmas?? by craftymeg

Christmas??

We had a smile today down on Redcar beach. We thought the sand dunes had been planted with trees to help conserve them. On closer inspection we found some looked quite dead and in the corner of the car park near the dunes was a pile of old Christmas-trees due to be re-cycled! Someone had dragged them over to the dunes dug holes and planted them!! There was 2 dozen at least,we thought this picture was very funny!!
Better on black

Thank you for all your comments and favs all are much appreciated.
Does look better with a few green trees!

Perhaps someone had suggested this a way to get rid of the trees from the house but preserve them. If the roots take, it will strengthen the sand!

Perhaps when they decay they will leave nutrients in the sand to encourage new growth of grasses ???

It's interesting to see the foreground so clear and colorful and the background hazy and monotone.

What an unusual find! I can someone's reasoning - but just a little hard to do with dead trees :) Interesting composition.

Interesting contrasts and interesting shot. Sometimes, cities dump Christmas trees in order to cut back on soil erosion. However, those dumped trees are usually on their sides and these trees are upright.

Beautiful capture and dof. The Christmas trees would make a lovely addition to the beach.
